Step 5: Now You have Passed, Sign Up for Pass Plus
So you just passed your driving test, everything is going your way. You simply feel on top of the world. Your next step
perhaps is to buy a car or you may already have one. One thing you need now is motor insurance. The Pass Plus Scheme can give you up to a massive 30% off on your car insurance. If your insurance quote is £1600 for the year, you could save a massive £480. This would more than cover the cost of the course.
Pass Plus is a six-module training
syllabus designed by the DSA to develop the skills and knowledge of newly qualified drivers and broaden their driving experience.
As a newly qualified driver you are much more
vunerable then you realise. Statistics show that as a new driver you are more likely to have an accident within your first two years of driving than at any other time in your driving career.
Each module focuses on driving in different types of roads and in different types of road conditions. Particular skills and knowledge will be developed in each module, which involve different applications of the positive driving skills of observation, assessment, decision-making and action.
The 6 modules are:
- Town Driving
- All Weather Driving
- Out of Town and Rural Roads
- Night Driving
- Dual Carriageways
- Motorways
Once these steps have been taken and completed, you will become a fully fledged driver with accelerated driver experience, being able to tackle whatever road users and the road conditions has to offer.
